Q – What type of martial art do you teach?
A – As active members of the international karate organization called Ryukyukan, we teach traditional Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate. Ryukyukan is known for it’s historical lineage, and it’s internationally renowned knockdown fighting champions. We offer a very strong stand up fighting system based on karate and kick boxing that is used by our international champion knockdown karate competition team, our kick boxing team, and our mixed martial arts cage fighting team. We also train a group of athletes in our ever popular submission grappling program; this team competes in grappling and MMA bouts. We have been teaching practical self defense programs since the 70’s, which include basic awareness and escapes, self defense fighting, practical pressure point attacks for defense, and third party defense including body guard and event security.
CHILDREN: We teach children traditional Shorin Ryu Karate, Submission Grappling, and practical self defense awareness and escape techniques. All children’s classes convey life lessons to build champions in life
